SP Balu live performance

Well, it was a dream from a long time ... as far as I remember, I desperately wanted to attend his live performance since 1996. Hmm, that was a good 12 years, before my wish got fulfilled today.

It was initially scheduled for yesterday, the 6th of September, but due to hurricane warnings in New Jersey, it got postponed to 7th of September...at Union County Performing Arts Center, Rahway, NJ.

I got totally excited to listen some of my favourite songs from the legendary singer. Legendary singer Chitra also joined the team, along with SP Sailaja and Krishna.

Luckily, I got my ticket booked, is in the section, close to the dias.

My pick of the evening, came at very end ... A R Rehman's composition - 'Ballelakka'.. that was an energetic performance given by Balu garu.

Enjoyed the famous number 'Mannil intha kaadhal'....(Breathless) audience response was tremendous after each stanga.

'Oh Priya Priya'.. from Gitanjali, 'Antha Rama Mayam' from SreeRamaDasu..

'Laloo darwaja' song given by Ms.Sailaja, and 'E Swaasa lo Cherithe' song by Ms. Chitra were amazing....

Tere Mere Beech mein, Balapam patti bhama vallo also were nice numbers of the evening...

At the end of the show, I felt that my dream came true, but the only setback being, some of famous numbers in my list, were not sung. To add to that, I would have even enjoyed more had if more telugu songs were sung.
